Patient Satisfaction Survey comments, Oct 2008

The London Clinic opened in 1932 by a group of Harley Street
doctors. Today, we are recognised as one of the UK's leading
independent hospitals. We are fully equipped acute care hospital.
Our long-standing national and international reputation for
the provision of clinical excellence is well earned.
Our commitment to investing in progressive technology for better
care and our extensive staff training, along with the
expertise of our vetted consultants, attracts
patients from around the globe who opt to access the very
best that private healthcare can offer.
Our continual investment strategy enables us to undertake
highly complex procedures, tests and treatments in addition to
routine surgery and medicine. This involves the extended specialist
clinical teams and support services such as: critical care, radiology, pathology
and physiotherapy. We recently expanded
our Intensive Care Unit to accommodate liver transplants.
The main hospital site spans Harley Street and Devonshire
Place in Marylebone. We also have consulting suites located at
149, 147, 145 and 119 Harley Street and at our new Consulting Rooms and Outpatient Centre at 5
Devonshire Place. Later this year our new purpose built cancer
center will open with the latest technology for better cancer care
as will our new consulting rooms and laboratories at 116 Harley
Street.
The majority of our consultants
are eminent leaders in their field and some have royal
appointments. In addition, a large percentage hold NHS
teaching posts in their key areas of expertise.
Treating approximately 20,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients
annually, The London Clinic embraces all specialties with the
exception of cardiac surgery, obstetrics and psychiatry.
