Awarded a prestigious Cancer Research
UK Clinical Research Fellowship to undertake a PhD at the Cancer
Research UK London Research Institute and the Centre for Cutaneous
Research at the Blizard Institute of Cell and Molecular Science,
Barts and The London School of Medicine.
In 2008 he was awarded a PhD by the
University of London for his research into skin cancer in organ
transplant recipients and photodynamic therapy (PDT) for the
treatment of skin cancer.

Publications
Dr Perrett lectures on his research both internationally and
nationally and has published numerous research papers in journals
including Science, EMBO Reports, DNA
Repair and the British Journal of
Dermatology. He has also authored two textbook chapters
on skin cancer.
