Resident Surgical Officer, St Mark’s Hospital for Diseases of the Rectum in 1977 and was appointed Consultant Surgeon to St Mark’s in 1978

 

Consultant Surgeon to St Thomas’ Hospital from 1982 to 1993.

 

1998 Appointed Professor of Colorectal Surgery, Imperial College, London.

 

Senior Surgeon, St Mark’s Hospital from 1999 to 2006

 

He remains active in research in Imperial College and consultancy work in inflammatory bowel disease
